Please read these Terms carefully before using Superfreelancers. By creating an account or using any feature on our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Superfreelancers ("we", "us", "our", or "Company") governing your access to and use of the Superfreelancers website at superfreelancers.com, all associated subdomains, mobile applications, and any services offered through the Platform (collectively, the "Platform").
By registering for an account, posting a job, applying for work, using any AI career tool, or otherwise accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in their entirety. You also confirm that you have read and agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply throughout:
Freelancer
An individual registered on the Platform to find freelance work, apply for jobs, and use AI career tools.
Employer
A company or individual registered on the Platform to post job listings and hire freelance talent.
Job Listing
A freelance job opportunity posted by an Employer on the Platform seeking freelance talent.
AI Tools
The suite of artificial intelligence-powered career tools offered free of charge on the Platform.
User Content
Any text, data, images, files, or other material that a User submits, uploads, or creates on the Platform.
Agreement
Any contract formed between a Freelancer and an Employer through or as a result of using the Platform.
3. Eligibility
To use Superfreelancers you must meet all of the following requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years of age
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction
- You must not have been previously suspended or permanently banned from the Platform
- Your use of the Platform must not violate any applicable law or regulation in your country of residence
- If registering as an Employer on behalf of a company, you must have the authority to bind that company to these Terms
By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements listed above. We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time and to terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
4. Accounts and Registration
Creating a Superfreelancers account is free and requires no payment information. You agree to the following account terms:
- You will provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep it up to date
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You will notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to or use of your account
- You may not create more than one account per person without our explicit written permission
- You may not transfer or sell your account to another person
Account security is your responsibility. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available two-factor authentication features. We will never ask for your password via email or support chat.
5. Platform Use
Superfreelancers grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose: connecting freelancers with employers and providing access to free career tools.
This licence does not permit you to scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without our prior written consent; to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Platform; or to use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful, harmful, or contrary to these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time with or without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to inform users of significant changes.
6. Rules for Freelancers
As a freelancer on Superfreelancers you agree to:
- Represent your skills, experience, and qualifications accurately and honestly in your profile and in all communications with employers
- Only apply for jobs that you are genuinely qualified and available to complete
- Communicate professionally and respond to employer messages in a timely manner
- Honour any agreement or commitment made to an employer, whether formal or informal
- Not solicit employers to bypass the Platform for the sole purpose of avoiding our community guidelines
- Not create fake reviews, endorsements, or references for yourself or others
- Keep your profile current and remove or update information that is no longer accurate
- Not use our AI career tools to create fraudulent applications, misrepresent credentials, or deceive employers
7. Rules for Employers
As an employer on Superfreelancers you agree to:
- Post only genuine, legitimate freelance job opportunities with accurate descriptions, requirements, and compensation information
- Not post jobs that require upfront payment from freelancers, involve commission-only recruitment of other freelancers, or are designed to collect personal data under false pretences
- Treat all applicants with professionalism and respect, free from discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Honour commitments made to freelancers and compensate agreed work as promised
- Not post misleading, duplicate, or spam job listings
- Not use freelancer profile data harvested from the Platform for any purpose other than evaluating candidates for your posted roles
- Remove or update job listings promptly when they are filled or no longer available
- Comply with all applicable employment, labour, and data protection laws relevant to your hiring activities
Job listings that require payment from applicants are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately. Posting fraudulent jobs may result in permanent account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.
8. AI Career Tools
Superfreelancers offers a suite of free AI-powered career tools including resume building, ATS scanning, cover letter generation, interview coaching, and career planning. By using these tools you agree to the following:
Your Ownership
Content you generate using our AI tools belongs to you. You retain full ownership of resumes, cover letters, and other outputs created through our tools.
No Guarantees
AI-generated content is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that AI outputs will secure you a job, pass any ATS, or be error-free. Always review AI-generated content before use.
Honest Use Only
You may not use AI tools to fabricate qualifications, experience, certifications, or credentials that you do not actually possess.
Data Processing
Inputs to AI tools are processed to generate your output. We do not use your AI tool content to train external models and handle this data per our Privacy Policy.
9. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Superfreelancers and may result in immediate account suspension or termination, as well as legal action where applicable:
- Posting fraudulent, misleading, or fake job listings or freelancer profiles
- Impersonating any individual, company, or entity
- Harassing, abusing, or threatening any other user
- Uploading or sharing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Using automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access the Platform without permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, user accounts, or our servers
- Using the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam)
- Discriminating against users based on protected characteristics
- Engaging in any activity that disrupts, damages, or interferes with the Platform
- Using the Platform to facilitate or promote illegal activities
10. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform including your profile, portfolio items, job descriptions, and messages. By submitting content to the Platform you grant Superfreelancers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content:
- Does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
- Does not contain defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material
- Complies with all applicable laws and these Terms
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Platform or its users.
11. Intellectual Property
The Superfreelancers name, logo, brand elements, website design, code, software, and all platform-related content not submitted by users are the exclusive intellectual property of Superfreelancers and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our express prior written permission. Unauthorised use of our intellectual property is a violation of these Terms and may result in legal action.
12. Disclaimers
Superfreelancers is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
- We do not guarantee that any job listing is genuine, legal, or accurately described by the posting employer
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated career content is accurate, complete, or fit for any specific purpose
- We do not guarantee that freelancers will find work or that employers will find suitable candidates
- We are not a party to any agreement formed between a freelancer and an employer and bear no liability for such agreements
Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any work arrangement with another party met through the Platform.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Superfreelancers and its directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to:
- Loss of income, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or damage to systems arising from Platform use
- Conduct of any third party on or through the Platform
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Since Superfreelancers is free, this typically means our maximum liability is USD $100.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal profile data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or acted in a manner harmful to the Platform or its users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Intellectual Property) shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing formal legal channels.
If you have a dispute with another user of the Platform, that dispute is between you and that user. Superfreelancers is not obligated to intervene, arbitrate, or mediate in disputes between freelancers and employers. We may, at our sole discretion, choose to assist in dispute resolution but are under no obligation to do so.
Any claim arising from these Terms must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to the claim. Claims brought after this period are permanently barred.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, Platform features, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent version was published. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
